About Anchor Painting and Power Washing
We started Anchor Painting and Power Washing because we spent years watching contractors cut corners on residential work. Rushing through prep. Leaving edges uneven. Moving on to the next job without checking back. As a lifelong Massachusetts native and now a fifteen-year resident of Cape Cod, I know this place. I know the salt air that corrodes exterior paint faster than most homeowners expect. I know the seasonal swings that matter in how you approach both residential and commercial projects. And I know that when someone lets you into their home or their business, you owe them work that lasts.
The early days taught us quickly. We started with exterior and interior painting, the fundamentals. But every job revealed new things homeowners and business owners actually needed: cabinet refinishing that looks custom, deck painting that holds up to weather, drywall repair done without shortcuts. We listened. We added services. We got better at each one because we refused to treat them as side work. After more than two decades, we operate across Massachusetts and Rhode Island doing everything from church and pew restoration to epoxy floors for commercial spaces, from wallpaper removal to soft washing. None of it is padding. Every service we offer is one we do because we do it well.
'You can tell when someone cares about the finish and not just getting paid. People see that difference the day we walk away.'
— Owner, Anchor Painting and Power Washing
We believe in showing up. Not just on the first day, but through weather, season changes, and the long arc of how paint performs on a Cape Cod home or a commercial building facing salt and sun. We've seen what happens when prep gets skipped, and we've watched properties transform when it doesn't. We take longer on the front end because we know the back end is where people actually live and work with the result.
We built Anchor as a full-service operation because honest customers don't want to call five different contractors. You want one crew that knows your property, understands the region, and has done drywall repair, carpentry, wallpaper removal, and deck painting enough times to do it right. Being locally owned means we're still here tomorrow if something isn't the way you expected. That matters more than any promise in a contract.
Service extends beyond the painting itself. We manage properties and facilities for clients who need continuity and someone who understands their space over time. We handle soft washing and power washing because the condition of your surfaces tells a story about how well your property is maintained. Every service is connected to the same principle: your home or business deserves attention that shows.
Working with us means you're working with someone who knows Hyannis and the surrounding area, who has seen what holds up and what fails, and who takes the same care with a residential interior as with commercial coatings or church restoration. You'll notice we ask questions. We come to understand the space and what matters to you. We don't hurry through estimates or skip details in conversation because those details become the difference between a job and a relationship.
If you've got work that needs doing—painting, power washing, cabinet refinishing, drywall repair, or something else from our full range of services—reach out. We'll listen to what you're trying to accomplish and be honest about how to do it right. That's been our promise for more than twenty years, and it's what we'll bring to your project.
